Harvard performed a well-documented study about attitude vs. aptitude. They found out that your succeess in the workplace has 85% to do with your attitude and only 15% percent with your aptitude! Technical skills matter almost 6 times LESS than people skills! That's backwards from what most people think. We work for years to get good grades so we can go to a good school to get a good vocational or technical education so we can get a good job. And in reality, we spend most of our time working at what is the least important and we end up entering the workplace without the most critical tool in the box... your people skills.

Now that's not to say that vocational and technical skills aren't important, because they are. I wouldn't want a doctor operating on me without the necessary training and education.
